In this senior position with our Environmental Management Department, you will provide hydrogeological consulting services in collaboration with both senior and junior staff members. You will: • Develop and undertake hydrogeological investigations that will include literature research, drilling, field monitoring studies, data management and analysis, and technical report writing • Interpretation of mapped geological and hydrogeological data, evaluation of hydrogeologic data, hydrogeologic investigations, geologic mapping, aquifer test evaluations, and groundwater modeling • Support of our contaminated sites management practice by inputting to environmental site assessments (Phase I & II ESA's), site characterization studies, remedial action planning and design, risk assessments, modeling and report review • Assist with mentoring of junior staff and carry out business development activities for Western Canada clients.
• A graduate of a university program specializing in geology and hydrogeology with emphasis on physical hydrogeology, contaminant hydrogeology and geochemistry. A post-graduate degree in hydrogeology is preferred • 7-10 years experience in addressing various hydrogeological and environmental management problems • Hold/eligible for, designation as a professional engineer (P.Eng.) or professional geologist (P.Geol.) in Alberta • Strong communication, organization and report writing skills are assets • Working knowledge of data analysis using MS Office products.
