Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
Job Summary:
Our client is an industry leader in the provision of engineering services to the land development industry, specializing exclusively in the design and administration of new residential subdivisions and site plans. Due to continued growth, the Markham office is seeking a Project Manager to join their leading-edge design team.
Job Duties:
Prepare design reports (FSR, MESP, due diligence, etc.) for final review by Client Project Manager
Co-ordinate directly with other project professionals, Clients, and review agencies (SWM,OLS, noise, environment, fluvial, geotech, etc.)
Direct Project Coordinator in gathering project specific design information (reports, drawings, etc.)
Prepare project constraints plans
Assist in preparation of project schedules and critical path analysis
Prepare comprehensive list of required approvals, and direct Project Coordinator in preparation of all applications for approval
Assist in identifying and meeting deadlines as assigned and agreed with Client Project Manager
Review design comments and prepare comment responses
Attend project meetings as required
Prepare engineering submission packages, including travel to municipalities to expedite submission of time sensitive information
Supervise Project Coordinators and provide feedback for performance review
Prepare monthly invoice descriptions for final review by Client Project Manager, and assist in identifying extra (billable) work
Qualifications:
Graduate engineer with interest in subdivision design and project management
Excellent AutoCAD and computer skills, customer service skills, and organizational skills
Knowledgeable in design of storm sewers, sanitary sewers, watermains, roads, lot grading, earthworks and stormwater management
Familiar with design standards and municipal criteria
Self-motivated, independent, and driven
Minimum of three years subdivision project coordination and/or design experience, and working towards P.Eng. license
