Job Summary:


Our client in Dartmouth, NS is seeking an Engineering Manager of Combat System Integration to join their team.


Job Duties:


•    Support Combat System Integration Engineering activities in-country, across disciplines, and working closely with the Deputy Chief Engineer to ensure timely and accurate flow of engineering information between Canada to UK
•    Develop and implement solutions to identify customer requirements relevant to CSC requirements and development of acceptance criteria.
•    Manage cost/capability trade-off case studies and prepare proposals for review and approval.
•    Develop and implement solutions to identify customer requirements relevant to CSC requirements and development of acceptance criteria.
•    Naval ship Combat System design, build, commissioning, acceptance and support
•    Requirements development and management to acceptance, for design development and for the management of design change
•    Product Safety and Product Environmental management
•    Ensure legal and Regulatory compliance
•    Quality management in support of Engineering
•    Preparing, conducting and recording design testing and acceptance events inline with the Lifecycle Management processes.
•    Contracting for engineering activity and interpreting technical documentation.


Qualifications:


•    Degree qualified in an engineering discipline relevant to the design and production of complex naval warships
•    P.Eng (Professional Engineer) with PEO or relevant governing body in Canada or internationally
•    Comprehensive understanding of the application of all Naval Ships engineering disciplines
•    Ability to build and lead an effective naval ship design team
•    Ability to inform and influence a broad spectrum of stakeholders within and outside of Naval Ships
•    Post Graduate qualification in a relevant area such as ship safety, warship design, design management, requirements management, etc. is an asset
•    Accredited engineering systems operator qualification with a significant safety component considered an asset
•    Able to discuss and understand context and implications of technical issues across a number of engineering disciplines
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Secret Security Clearance
