Job Summary:


Our client in London, Ontario is seeking a Construction Site Superintendent to join their team!

This individual will lead, manage, and be responsible for day-to-day construction site activities.


Job Duties:


• Working with Project Manager, Subcontractors, Owners, Engineers, and Architects
• Maintaining the highest quality of work
• Ensuring projects stay on budget
• Scheduling and supervising on-site staff
• Managing and inspecting the quality of the jobs performed
• Supervising trade and field personnel at all levels
• Determining labour requirements
• Determining material quantities
• Ensuring proper equipment has been obtained and is being used in adherence to safety standards
• Working closely with project managers to plan/modify construction schedules
• Ensuring a high level of Health and Safety is adhered to at all times
• Ensuring construction is in accordance with the drawings, designs, and specifications
• Conducting meetings to update internal and external stakeholders on the progression of construction


Qualifications:


• 5-8+ years of construction field management experience in commercial buildings
• Experience with concrete materials an asset
• Experience with projects valued $10 million-$100 million+ an asset
• Degree or Diploma relating to Construction from an accredited institution preferred
• Construction Occupational Health and Safety standards
• Ability to set and obtain installation goals
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and problem solve
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proven leadership ability
• Demonstrated problem solving skills
• High levels of time-management skills
• Knowledge of appropriate scheduling, project management, and contract software
