• 421A, 425A, Class A Mechanic, or equivalent license required

Job Summary:


Our client is seeking a Lead Mechanic/Service Supervisor to join their team in London, Ontario.

Job Duties:


  • Actively schedule several mechanics and prioritize repair of a fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, and autos

  • Work closely with several managers to schedule workload and optimize productivity in mechanic service operations in auto mechanic/heavy equipment shop

  • Act as primary contact to internal staff and equipment/auto-parts vendors with regard to technical mechanical and service-related issues

  • Work with mechanics to source and track new and used parts for mechanical repairs

  • Act on all incoming calls and effectively conduct follow-ups during and after job completion

  • Review relevant information to provide team members with repair timelines as required

  • Update and manage Service Schedule in a timely and accurate fashion and assist in opening work orders as required

  • Review machines for active service letters prior to recommending additional repair opportunities

  • Determine warranty coverage of relative equipment; assist with warranty processing as needed

  • Coordinate all equipment repair activities with team members Qualifications:




Qualifications:


  • Post-secondary education in a technical or mechanical program

  • Minimum 5 years equivalent experience and proven technical knowledge in the heavy equipment or truck repair & maintenance industry

  • Self-directed with high level planning, scheduling and attention to detail and consistent follow up

  • Solid analytical, problem solving, organizational and negotiation skills

  • Commitment to deliver internal and external customer service excellence continuously with a sense of urgency

  • Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills to interact with all levels of cross-functional teams

  • Ability to effectively achieve results in a fast-paced and demanding environment with multiple and competing priorities
