Located in Waterloo, Ontario, this branch office is one of Central Canada’s largest operations with over 300+ team members, 30% amongst their civil/transportation/urban development groups. With ongoing project wins and a backlog of future project deliverables they are seeking both a Senior Transportation Engineer (Project Manager) and a Senior Transportation Technologist to join this exciting team.
Job Duties:
360 oversight of all project deliverables for mid to large size design assignments for regional roads, streets, highways, transit, and related transportation affiliations
Apply sound project management processes, techniques and procedures simultaneously subscribing to client’s scope, time, cost and quality objectives
Manage a team of design professionals including both engineers and technologists
Responsible for planning, execution, and control of the project from proposal preparation, kick-off, preliminary design/definition, detailed design, tendering, construction, contract administration and validation
Intra and inter coordination of cross disciplinary teams from internal to external teams, consultants, sub-consultants, contractors and suppliers all the while ensuring the highest quality of design to achieve the client’s objectives consistent with contract scope and specifications
Develop and deliver reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations
Perform as Project and client management lead
Qualifications:
10-15+ years in Consulting Engineering in Transportation Engineering or Design
1-2 years in a Project Lead, Coordination or Management function
Experience with preliminary and detailed design and project management principles and executables
Knowledge of provincial transportation design codes, standards, environmental and regulatory approvals
