PHM Search Group Inc. (“PHM Search”, “we”, “us”) is a recruitment and executive search firm based in London, Ontario. Recruitment runs on personal information — resumes, career histories, compensation, references. We take that seriously, and this policy sets out plainly what we collect, why, who sees it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
This policy is written to meet Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applies to this website and to the recruitment services we provide in Canada, and to cross-border mandates where we are engaged to recruit into the United States.
This website sets no cookies and uses no advertising or cross-site tracking technology. We use a privacy-focused analytics service that measures aggregate traffic — pages viewed, referring site, approximate country, device type — without cookies and without building a profile of you or storing anything that identifies you personally. Our web host also keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and diagnostic purposes.
We collect personal information for these purposes and no others: to respond to your inquiry; to assess your suitability for current or future roles; to present you to a prospective employer, with your knowledge; to fill a role for a client; to send you material you have asked for; and to meet our legal and professional obligations.
By submitting a form on this site you consent to us using your information for the purpose you submitted it for. If we ever want to use it for something materially different, we will ask you first. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing info@phmsearch.com, subject to any legal or contractual obligation we may have to retain certain records.
We do not sell personal information. We have never sold personal information and we will not.
We serve clients in Canada and may act on cross-border mandates involving the United States. Some of our service providers store or process data outside Canada. Information held in another country is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts and law enforcement. By using this site and our services you acknowledge this transfer. We select providers who offer appropriate contractual and technical protections.
Inquiries and correspondence are retained for as long as needed to deal with the matter and for a reasonable period afterwards. Candidate records are retained while they remain useful for matching you to opportunities, and are reviewed periodically. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe.
Resumes submitted through this website are not stored on our web server. An uploaded resume is delivered to us by email and the temporary copy on the server is discarded immediately.
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to candidate and client records is restricted to those who need it. Uploaded files are checked by type and size. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — but if a breach were to occur that created a real risk of significant harm, we would notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as PIPEDA requires.
You may ask us to: confirm whether we hold personal information about you and provide access to it; correct anything inaccurate or incomplete; delete your information, subject to any legal obligation to retain it; withdraw your consent; or stop sending you marketing email.
Email info@phmsearch.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.
Commercial email we send complies with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every commercial message identifies us and carries a working unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe here at any time, from either the Insights brief or The Bench. Requests are honoured within ten business days, usually far sooner.
This site links to third-party websites, including LinkedIn and sources cited in our published articles. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
This website and our services are directed at working professionals and are not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top always reflects the current version. Material changes affecting how we use information already collected will be communicated directly where we are able to.
