Ontario engineering recruitment

Engineering recruiters in Ontario.

A specialist engineering recruitment agency headquartered in London, Ontario, recruiting across the province since 2000 — civil, structural, electrical and controls, environmental, and construction leadership.

The market

Ontario is not one engineering market. It is five.

Ontario is five markets, not one, and treating it as one is the fastest way to run a search that goes nowhere. The GTA competes on speed; nuclear refurbishment has absorbed electrical and controls engineers; the southwest runs on manufacturing; Ottawa on institutional work.

Where we sit

Headquartered in London, Ontario.

We are an Ontario firm. That is not a marketing line — it means the map of who does what, at which consultancy, contractor and manufacturer across this province, is one we have been building ever since.

It shows up in specifics. Which structural group actually delivers institutional work rather than claiming to. Which municipal departments are about to lose a director to retirement. What a controls engineer in Windsor is offered versus one in Cambridge.

How we work here

Ontario’s strongest engineers are known locally, and rarely reach a job board.

We do not post roles. The engineers worth hiring across Ontario are employed, performing, and not reading job ads — particularly in the mid-sized cities, where the strongest people are known locally and never reach a job board.

Our model is exclusive contingency: retained-level search, one firm holding the mandate, fee paid on the hire. For confidential replacements and leadership mandates, retained executive search.

We recruit construction and technology roles across Ontario the same way, whenever the mandate calls for it — this page focuses on engineering because that is where most of our Ontario search work sits.

Common questions

Ontario engineering recruitment, answered.

Do you recruit engineers across Ontario?

Yes. We are an engineering recruitment agency headquartered in London, Ontario, recruiting across the province — Toronto and the GTA, Ottawa, London, Kitchener-Waterloo, Hamilton, Windsor, Kingston, Sudbury and Thunder Bay — as well as nationally and into the USA.

Which Ontario engineering disciplines are hardest to hire?

Electrical and controls engineers, largely because nuclear refurbishment and the EV and battery build-out are competing for the same people. Structural engineers with institutional experience, environmental and permitting specialists, and municipal civil engineers are consistently short across the province.

Is Ontario really one recruitment market?

No, and treating it as one is why searches fail here. The GTA, southwestern Ontario, the eastern nuclear corridor, Ottawa and the mid-sized cities each have different employers, different compensation levels and different reasons someone would move. What is worth offering in Mississauga will not move an engineer in Windsor.

Do you recruit outside the major cities?

Yes, and it is often where specialist search matters most. In smaller Ontario markets the strongest engineers are known locally and never appear on a job board, so a posting reaches almost nobody worth hiring. Direct approach is the only route to them.

Where are you based?

London, Ontario. The firm has been recruiting from here since 2000, which is why the map of who does what across the province is a genuine asset rather than a claim.

Do you work on a retained or contingency basis?

Our standard model is exclusive contingency — retained-level rigour with the fee paid on the hire. Confidential and board-level mandates run as retained executive search.

Are you engineering recruiters, engineering headhunters, or a staffing agency?

We are a specialist search firm, and “engineering headhunters” is the older word for the same work. We do not post roles or forward applicants; we map a market and approach people directly, most of whom are not looking. Permanent placement is the only work we do.
